After one failed login to DCE with the wrong password my LDAP server is locking out people. I believe DCE is attempting to retry multiple times (need to verify) but my company policy is more then one attempt...
Any ideas or ways to change the attempts?
Regards,
J

Hi John,
I've only seen one other instance like this and never did see anything resolve it. I'd first suggest running a packet capture to verify if DCE is sending a single or multiple requests to your LDAP server. Also check to see if there is some sort of intermediary system involved. I do recall one instance where DCE couldn't always properly connect and it was due to DCE hitting an LDAP to a different authentication server...kind of like a gateway. That could also cause issues.
I've tested this on using Active Directory on a Windows 2012 system and I don't get locked out after a single failure.
Thanks,
Steve
