DCE Device Discovery Error

Having discovered numerous rack PDUs into DCE with no issue one has come back with an error.  It does not show the correct device Label or sensors, it also has under type Workstation/Server

I have performed a walk and all details are returned so I'm not too sure what is wrong with this discovery.

I had a problem with the sensors inserted to map a UPS, showing as offline, delete the device when attempting to load it again I could not charge it to rule out the problem of network card you delete a PDU rack and the same thing happened my DCE does not allow load dispositivios removed some help to fix this?

Hi James, Is there any chance that there are duplicate IPs on your network? It is very unusual for DCE to mistake one device type for another. -Scott

Scott Kingsley - It's not a duplicate IP, the device is returning only the following

Whereas a duplicate device returns all the OID points

Hi James, I talked to someone in tech support and they had a few questions/suggestions...Would you be able to provide a walk file from a working device vs the problem device? Also have you received any new DDFs lately, or has anyone modified a DDF outside of Multi Vendor Support? Have you tried putting the problem device on a different network segment? -Scott

Scott Kingsley The DDF was recieved a few months ago, Geist Quantal Legacy PDU v11, I don't believe it has been modified. I have uploaded two walk files, can you PM me and I can give more details?

HI James, I don't see the walk files here, just the screenshots of the sensors list. Would you mind uploading them again? Thanks, Scott

After looking at the walk files it appears that the "problem" device is not returning some key information via SNMP, specifically OIDs starting with 1.3.6.1.4.1.21239.6.1.99.

James will be reaching out to the manufacturer who can hopefully solve the issue.
