DCE Appliance hardware

Hi all,

I would like to ask if DCE ISO can be deployed on just any servers specifically thinking of Dell PowerEdge models or do I must be get the Appliances directly from SE with the SKUs:

- Basic Appliance (AP9465)
- Standard Appliance (AP9470)
- Enterprise Appliance (AP9475)

I speculating these appliances are registered in the database with pre-defined MAC/hardware IDs/address therefore deploying the ISO on just any hardware would not be allowed (I have tested this and it appears this is the case however not 100% sure)

Hi,

Yes, you have to buy hardware from SE, you cannot install the DCE ISO on any server hardware.
