Hi I'm struggling to carry out a 7.9.0 rebuild on a 2017 AP9475 DCE its running BIOS ver 2.3.2.
I have created a 7.9.0 restore USB that i know works as I used it yesterday and was successful on an older server. when i powered of DCE inserted the USB then powered on the server it just hung with a solid curser in the middle of the screen and in boot menu didnt see the USB so changed it from BIOS to USFI boot option which enabled the USB to be seen then when i ran boot from front USB I get boot failed ensure you have a compatible bootable media available. see attached jpg
I have used both DCE USB restore key and rufus but get the same response from the server??? can anyone help???
TIA
Mike

Hi Mike - the only thing that comes immediately to mind is to try the rear USB ports - I note the screenshot says front USB, and I've found a fair few models that only boot from the rear USB (I've no idea why)

Hi @Mike-Sutton ,
Could I get you to record the dell service tags of the affected machines (and any you notice aren't affect wouldn't hurt either) so we can start to look for what they have in common?
I don't know how safe it is to share them on the public forum, so if you want to send them directly to myself or Rich, that'll work fine.
Thanks,
Shaun
