DCE 7.2 Dashboard custom names

Hi

I have configured custom names next to each device on my DCE client just to make it easier to identify what device it is. On the DCE dashboard it only shows the IP address of the specific device how do I get that custom name to reflect on the dashboard?

As far as I know, unfortunately, in DCE 7.x it is impossible. In Preferences DCE dashboard it is possible to choose only the following Device Identifier Fields: Label, Hostname, IP Address, Location, Device Type, Model, Serial Number.

Hi Quinton,

As far as I know, APC Products Location and Label are default properties which can be modified on the device web interface or by using DCE SNMP Device configuration.

Go to Web interface or Thin client of DCE–>Setting–>Device Identifier Fields-Choose the option as you want. 

There are many options available to identify the device and to display on the thin client.

The same can be seen for the devices on the DCE thin client or on dashboard:

I do not think that Custom properties can be shown on the DCE thin client for device identification.

Thanks for the answer but not all the devices loaded on DCE is APC products, I have logged into most of the devices connected and changed the locations but it doesn't pull through to the DCE application
