Hi, everyone. As the title says, I am using DCE 7.2.0.512 and I am wondering how I can refresh the view/device status without having to close and reopen DCE?
We had to take a UPS offline for a move so I put it into maintenance mode and DCE reflected this, and I saw it go offline. However, even when it was put back online (confirmed via ping and being able to access the webGUI) the status never updated in DCE until I closed and reopened the program.
I feel like there should be some kind of refresh button that cycles the view and gets a current status each time. If there already is one I am definitely not seeing it. Thanks so much for your time.

Dear Ethan Rudnitsky,
DCE-client software does not need any permanent updating of the view or status. Therefore, there is no corresponding button 😀.
Simply, you have a problem with either a DCE-client or a DCE-server. Therefore, the solution to your problem may be a solution from topic :
From my own experience I will say, that in this case it is necessary firstly simply to restart the PC on which you run the DCE-client (especially it is required for MS Windows 8 and above, as in these OS's the normal shutdown mode is replaced by the hibernation mode). Or at least it is required to make an logoff and logon the user on the Windows PC.
If this does not help (although it should), then you will need to reboot your DCE-server. Tell us please, what is your version of DCE software and what is the uptime of your DCE-server (see web-link http://_DCE_Address_/nbc/status/Status)?
Important: do you make regular backups of your DCE-server?
With respect.
