Corning optical frame

Hello guys,

I have a question about the Genome,

At the moment i am trying to use Corning's ODF which has modules in it

But it doesn't seem like the genome has such model nor i can create it using generic models because i am limited only to half width bays and it has 1/4th size bays

Is there a way of creating this kind of equipment or is there a similar option already made in the genome?

Thank you very much!

Hi Gleb,

If your device is not in the Genome Library, then you might want to post a device support request here: http://sxwhelpcenter.ecostruxureit.com/devices

I'm not sure what exactly could be that you would like to model (in DCO), so few suggestion/thoughts to share:

server/asset components/hardware cannot be modeled in DCO (not supported)

optical fibers and cables are treated as connections and not physical items in DCO

if the intention is to model network connections for your device "CCH-04U", then right click on device > Properties > Network, and then Add your port configurations:

You can do this both in the Genomes and also the modeled items in your rack(s).

Kind regards

Hi,

You can create/edit existing ODF in the genome.

When you choose your ODF in the genome, right-click on it and properties.

Down there you have options like "Add", "Edit" or "Delete" and you can do whatever you want.

Hi Gleb,

Can you please share some images illustrating what you want to model in DCO, thanks.

Just a quick note that optical fibers (and cables in general) are treated as connections and not physical items in DCO.

Kind regards

Hey,

Unfortunately i cannot share images but i am trying to recreate Corning CCH-04U ODF

And it seems that there is no model like it in the genome, and there is no way of creating it manually with generic models because i am limited to half width bays
