Hi,
One of our cusotmer having DCO - v8.3.2 and we have simulated the Cooling Impact and 5 Cooling Units and found the same racks showing impact for all the Cooling units.
If we change the power capacity to predicted power value in preference, there is no impact showing for the Cooling Units.
The screen shot attached for your kind reference.
Thanks - K.Venkat

Hi Venkat,
Glad you're seeing more expected values, I should have been more specific but I was asking for estimated load of room (eg Floor PDU load) and the Cooling Capactiy of the cooling units. CFM would also be relevant.
The higher the floor pdu load (which includes the rack pdu load), the greater the simulated impact of 1 or more cooling units failing/being turned off.

Hi Venkat,
It seems to be bug (somewhere in the setup), changing power strategy to Predicted Power should not break Impact calculations. I cannot find any reason why this may happen in your setup, so I have added this to our backlogs for debugging.
For the time being you might want to switch to Adjusted Nameplate strategy when running the simulate impact.
Kind regards,
Jef

Hi Venkat,
What is the cooling capacity of the 3 cooling units individually/combined and how much estimated load and/or predicted load is being used right now?
I noticed only one cooling unit was off, since there are still 2 more in the room, they can most likely handle the additional cooling load for the 3rd unit. This is why you are not really seeing any cooling impact. Also if the power usage is low, this would also explain why you are not seeing much if any cooling impact.
What happens when you turn off 2 or all 3 units?

Hi ATrabert,
Thanks.
Now I am getting the simulation impact values for more racks, while de-activate the 1 or 2 Cooling Units. (Predicted power / Adjusted name plate)
There is no measured power value for Cooling Unit and only the Estimated load each Unit having 81kW as name plate and cooling power. The adjusted name plate consider as 45kW for each Unit.
Thanks - K.Venkat.
