BMC CMDB integration

We took a look at integration with BMC Atrium around asset management and integration of custom properties (bi directional comms). This was using either ETL or the inventory API. I don't really have anything concrete to give you other than it was possible, but it was going to cost $, whether done through LOB or with a local development partner.

I am currently working on the proposal that needs DCO to periodically push & sync its assets data into BMC Atrium CMDB, including asset deletion. However I am not capable to acquire enough info to answer all customer's questions. What I get best is from here. It looks like I need to know more about Configuration Items relationship with DCO internal database schema or inventory API. Do you have any experience to share with me? Thanks a lot in advance.

Is it possible to meet your requirement by simply pushing a DCO ETL Export DB toward Atrium and letting the BMC people do with it what they will?

Thank you Ed. I am also proposing using DCO Export DB since I think it is highly likely. The ball actually is more on commercial feasibility. We do have partner's programmers that are capable to program ETL, yet they are lacking BMC system knowledge and/or StruxureWare DCO knowledge. That means their cost or risk assessment must cover investments to acquire such knowledge, which estimation alone is not easy at all. I am trying to build a trustworthy image to my partner so he at least knows we will support them, but for BMC knowledge it is still a worry to them.
