Hi all!
I always, without hesitation 😀, fill in the information about the geographical address of most Device Groups in DCE, as for example in the screenshots:
I have always considered it important and useful information.
But now I'm thinking and asking: where is this useful information used in DCE? In which reports, alarms, or elsewhere?
I'm interested to know, for example, whether you can use this useful information for alarms, especially for uninformative TCP/IP Modbus devices.
Very thanks for the support.

Hi, I believe this was added for StruxureOn. I am not aware of it being used in anything besides that personally.

Hi Angela Clark,
At first I thought so too, but now I'm not sure, since according to Release Notes DCE v7.4.3.pdf we have:
StruxureWare Data Center Expert v7.4.0 New Features
· New address field for device groups
You can now specify an address for each device group (optional).
And for what? Where is this information used?
Very thanks for the support.

I believe she meant that although the data is populated in DCE, it is only used when DCE acts as a gateway for Struxureon and only by the structureOn cloud application, not DCE.
