Webmin SSL error

Morning Community,

We are seeing the following issue with being unable to access the DCO Webmin portal across multiple browsers, reporting SSLv3 is an unsecure protocol.

DCO is running version v7.4, which I believe is Webmin 1.5.

Is this issue fixed in an upgrade to a more recent version of DCO (v7,5, Webmin 1.6)?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

You should now pass to TLS. It is the default configuration for new installations of DCO (7.4.5 and next) but v3 remains for previous installs that are upgraded.

  1. Temporarily activate ssl v3 browsing in Firefox: navigate to about:config, search for security.tls.version.min, now double-click on it and change the value to 0 (zero), exit about:config page, exit firefox, and then restart firefox.
  2. You should now be able to reach the DCO Webmin page. Navigate to the menu "Webmin", then "Webmin Configuration" and click the "SSL Encryption" icon. Enter the value "10" for "SSL Protocol Version" and save.

Of course you should change the value of the parameter security.tls.version.min in Firefox back to 1 afterwards.

We had to disable all SSL on client or web to get access. Just using HTTP now...
