I think this might be related to this post which never seemed to be fully resolved.
We have a site that has an MDF that has UPS and is generator-backed and many "outbuildings" that have IDFs on local UPSes that will power the loads for some time during an extended outage.
What we are seeing during an extended outage:
- DCE will send various alerts about the IDF UPSes at the start of a power outage (including Power Failure): great!
- When the IDF UPSes run out of juice, we see a "return to normal" message on the Power Failure alert that states "No longer on battery power" when - in reality - the UPS is dead: not great...
Example from a recent outage. This shows the last input voltage status from an IDF UPS before it died. And at 10:05AM, we got a "return to normal" email on the Power Failure alert... Any way to fix this? I would expect for that alert to not clear until the UPS is back online.
