NetBotz Rack Monitor 750 Rack Access Cards

Hi All,

I have a client that wants to use Rack Access Cards on their Rack doors handles.

I can see the Rack Handles on the NetBotz 750 and can command them to Open or Close however I want to use the Rack Access Cards to unlock the handles.

The Cards are White and written HID Proximity with no other information and the Door Handle Southco part number is H3-EM-99-610.

There is no beep or reaction from the door handle when I badge the Card.

Please assist on how I can Integrate the Access Cards onto the NetBotz 750.

If you are trying to badge the card and there is no reaction via a beep and no card shows up in the web interface within the Rack Access tab, then I would assume that the card is not a supported card type.  Information on supported card types and how to configure rack access can be found within the users guide on pages 25 & 26: https://download.schneider-electric.com/doc/990-5934_EN/NetBotz%205%20User%20Guide.pdf

In regards to determining the type of handles that are installed, I believe that there is a white sticker that would list the APC model number.  I believe it is only present on one of the handles and is in a very difficult place to see once installed depending on the door it is installed in.  The sticker should be on a flat portion on the side of the handle when looking at it from the inside of the rack door.  I believe it would be located where the arrow points to in the below image, but it has been some time since I have seen one in person:

In regards to the cards that you have, unfortunately there is no way to assist with determining what card type they are.  If they came with the unit, then they would be 125kHz cards, but I have doubts that it is these as you did not mention an APC or Schneider Electric logo on them.

I am always grateful for your prompt assistance.

I hope you can read this while I am still on the customers site. The Access Cards do have an APC Logo on the Front and I noticed all of them have this number "11102771578-1" printed on them, not sure if that helps.

I managed to find one manual for the door handle kits and its written "NBHN1356/NBHN1356S" and "NBHN125/NBHN125S".

The client also has NB250A on Site and when I tested the Rack Access, its working fine therefore the Card is not working on Door Handles that are connected to the NB750.

I have some information to add to my post above.

The Rack Access Cards are registering as H10301 - Standard 26 bit

Also I found some of the Door Handles plugged into the Universal Sensor Ports but I have plugged them into the correct Ports. Does this have any effect on the Door Handles as I am picking up that the same Rack Access Card is Beeping on some Door Handles and not Beeping on some Door Handles yet the Hardware Setup is the very same.

Hello @Tafadzwa,

Due to the improper installation, it is possible that the affected handles have partially failed. I would recommend reaching out to technical support to look into the matter further, but if they were improperly installed, this would likely fall outside of warranty replacement.

Subject: NetBotz 750/250 with NBHN125S: No beep or response from Card Reader when badging bundled HID cards.

Hi Everyone,

I am setting up a demo kit to test the Rack Access feature, but I'm struggling to get the proximity reader to respond.

My Setup:

• Appliances: NetBotz 250 & NetBotz 750.

• Handles: NBHN125S (125kHz version).

• Cards: Bundled HID Proximity 125kHz 26-bit cards (APC Logo).

The Issue: I can manually "Lock/Unlock" the handles via the Web Interface without any issues. However, when I badge the bundled HID cards, there is no beep, no LED reaction on the handle, and absolutely no "Access Denied" or "Invalid Card" events in the log.

Troubleshooting performed:

1. Verified the handle is plugged into the correct Rack Access Port.

2. Configured the Card Format to Standard 26-bit (H10301).

3. Removed the handle from the metal door to eliminate magnetic interference, but still no response.

4. Double-checked the Bezel cable and CAT5 connections.

Is it possible that the integrated Card Reader is defective, or is there a specific setting I might have missed?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
