Hi Cees,
We have removed the need for a Capacity license for setting up UCS integration in a patch for 7.5. I've shared a Box folder where you can download the patch. It contains information on how to install, but please reach out with any questions regarding this.
Kind regards,
Stine

I thought you still needed an ITO license to enable the UCS Manager integration in DCO 7.5? Can you have that patch posted to the Certified section of the forum? Will future releases of DCO have this integration enabled with only Operation rack licenses?

Hi taspec, sorry for the late reply. To my understanding you don't need an ITO license. The patch is not on certified for now but I'll invite you to the box folder where you can get it. Best, Stine

Are there any reports or whitepapers that detail the benefits to integrating UCS manager with DCO? Are there any risks?

Adding to the last comments. DCO 8.0 also supports use of the Cisco UCS integration without the need for the capacity license. The Cisco UCS integration is visible in the external systems list with only base operations licensing now. Keep in mind other licenses (like capacity and ITO) enable additional overlay views in DCO which might allow you to see additional UCS data (i.e. cpu utilization from the ITO overlay).
