Implications of 1 DCE integrated to 2 DCO servers.

I'm wonder what are the implications of configuring the same DCE server as an External System on 2 different DCO systems?  This would be required for DCE alarms and performance data to appear in both DCOs.

Hi Ed,

The implication would only be the load on the DCE server as I see it. There are no data send from DCO to DCE which could mess things up. I would say that the DCE server performance is the main topic and therefore number of devices monitored, cameras etc are something to take into consideration.

I have had several DCOs connected to one enterprise DCE (only monitoring 100 devices) without any problems seen.

I've never really understood the function of the "callback" configuration setting in DCO when entering a DCE as an External System and was concerned there may be some type of conflict if 2 DCOs attempt to make some "Callback" setting on the one DCE

Best to test - and you're already doing
