IT OPTIMIZE SERVER DISCOVERY

Hi Team, we are facing some problems to discovery some servers by SNMP, the server has the SNMP active but when we try to discovery we cant find they, see the pictures attached:

We need to apply some adtional setup to discovery?

Hello Fabio. ITO relies on IPMI protocol for discovery of management cards like iDRAC and ILO cards.

SNMP in general cannot be used for server discovery, it is meant for discovery of blade chassis. ITO may be able to discover a server using SNMP if Dell's SNMP agent is installed on the server (not the iDRAC). If the server is using the microsoft SNMP agent it will certainly not work.

In general windows servers should be discovered with WMI, linux servers with SSH, and management cards with IPMI.
