Hi All,
When I copy a room to another location, the new copied room does not contain all the information that was in the previous room.
For example, in the new copied room, if I select a rack that has devices within it, in the general tab, the name, serial number, and barcode are not copied. Only the product information is copied to the new copied room. (refer to attachments)
Typically, this would be fine with rooms with racks with not many devices within it, however, with larger data centers, this is very time consuming trying to replicate the same data.
Please assist.

Adding to JLehr's response.
As mentioned the copy function in ITA is working as designed per feedback Schneider had received from a number of customers. IT Advisor is used by many customers to solve a number of challenges in their data centers, one of which is inventory management. Schneider received a lot of customer feedback regarding the behavior of copying rooms and assets. Our customers shared feedback copying assets or rooms was leading to duplicate asset name, serial number and similar data leading later on other procedural problems.
The cut and paste feature in ITA will maintain original settings like name, serial number and related properties. The copy and paste feature will obfuscate the assets.
Regards
Greg Sterling
