DCE Physical Server Version 7.8.0 can Fresh install to DCE Version 8.0.0 ?

Hi Support team,

Is is possible to proceed DCE Physical Server Version 7.8.0 fresh install to DCE Version 8.0.0 via iso file?

Anything to concern about? 

MAC address going to change?

License affect?

Data Lost(Mapview, Sensor name, etc.) is OK.

Hi,

To ensure the server is recent enough to support 7.9.x/8.0, please see https://community.se.com/t5/Data-Center-Expert-release-notes/Data-Center-Expert-7-9-x-and-newer-serv...

Additional considerations:

- no change to MAC address or Licenses - although if you're not migrating a backup, ensure to make a note/screenshot of license keys first.

- Data Loss; data can be maintained by migrating through intermediate versions - so from 7.8.0 to 7.8.1 to 7.9.0 etc.  A clean install to 8.0 will be clean, with no data migrated.
