Hello
I'm looking for users of VVX who utilise the application through a Panasonic Toughbook or similar sized device such as a tablet and their experience.
End users within my organisation are unable to 'pan' trends or move 'Open as Inset' mimics out of the way of the ribbon to use the zoom buttons.
Also being experienced is the virtual keyboard opening up when the touchscreen is pressed i.e. when clicking a button which on occasions takes two attempts to open.
With WebX none of these issues are apparent.
Windows scaling of 125% and 150% have been tested with 1920 x 1200 (Recommended) display resolution.
Has other users experienced similar problems?
Thanks

I've generally avoided VVX for deployments. I favour Microsoft Remote Desktop (RemoteApp).
You could try a separate test of this by having a remote desktop session with ViewX launchable available to one of your toughbook users. And see if this works acceptably for them (i.e. if it avoids the issues you're seeing with VVX).
The Pan / Drag operations might be related to network bandwidth. My understanding is that VVX is 'projecting' essentially a Windows session through an HTTP(s) connection. Which isn't particularly network efficient. If you have a congested network, or high latency, then this will be directly experienced by the operator, and hence any actions requiring 'fast' response might feel unnatural (such as dragging operations).
Buttons launching the virtual keyboard seems a bit more unusual. Is there anything 'strange' with the buttons, i.e. is there animation that has them covering text entry, or any form of text entry nearby?
It's the VVX virtual keyboard, and not the Windows virtual keyboard I assume you're referencing...
If it's the Windows virtual keyboard you might want to try disabling the Windows virtual keyboard (I'm unsure if it's possible to blacklist apps such that the virtual keyboard doesn't come up within those apps...)

VVX definitely comes with it's quirks. I think recent updates in VVX enable some additional mobility features like pinch to zoom. This was in the GS 23 August 24 release. What version(s) are you running in your deployments?

Folks
As an update the August release has fixed the majority of the original bugs.
Bevan when you mention 'Windows session through an HTTP(s) connection. Which isn't particularly network efficient.' this is most definitely the case when using mobile connectivity.
