Points conversion from simple modbus to advanced modbus
Hello, we are experiencing issues with Simple Modbus points in ClearSCADA 2017 R2. The support team advised us to transition to Advanced Modbus points. ClearSCADA has an inbuilt function called "Convert to." However, after converting Simple Modbus points to Advanced Modbus, the converted points stopped working normally. They only update their value once when you make a change in the outstation and then save the configuration.
The second option is to manually create Advanced Modbus points, but this is a time-consuming process as you have to copy all the settings of the point and link them in logic and mimics.
So, my questions are: - Is it common for converted points not to work properly? - Are there other methods to solve my issue, such as remaking Simple Modbus points into Advanced Modbus points? - Are there methods to make changes to a bunch of points at once?

The Simple Modbus driver continues to be supported, but is not recommended for new systems, where the Advanced Modbus driver should be preferred.
It sounds like the points are either not being polling (often enough) or the points aren't changing significantly. For the converted points I would suggest you check the retrieval intervals on the outstation are set appropriately, that each individual point has an appropriate retrieval interval and for analogue points that the significant change deadband is set appropriately.
