This is a re-posting from the obsoleted (October 2018) "Schneider Electric Telemetry & SCADA" forum.

**_Hi_**

**_I have configured a viewx client to talk to server, I can see the client in server staus, and also can see the main of Server in client, but the client viewx is asking for username and pasword which I havnot set up for it. I eve entrered the super username and password form server, no luck. It says you can't have access to server database._**

**_Is there anything I need to configure in server?_**
**_Regards_**

Hi. The Super User (set up on install) is to be used for local access only, so cannot be used from one node to another.

After installation, you can use the ViewX client running on the server node to set up a user and user group for Admin which can then be used externally.

In the Example database there is a user 'AdminExample' which is (by default) disabled. To use this you need to enable it, assign a password, and (recommended) rename it.

**_Thanks for quick reply._**

**_Is the any manual or document which can help me to undrestand this communication better?_**

**_I actually do not need any user name and password at the moment._**

Enable example accounts:

Another approach is to turn off security by enabling Everyone to have Full access to the Root group (not recommended). Right click the root group, Click Security..., Add Everyone and select all permissions.
