GSE 2022, August 2024 Update Fail to Install

So, let's see if I can avoid having my post deleted this time... 

Has anyone else experienced an error with attempting to install the August 2024 update to Geo SCADA Expert 2022?

It fails on the required PCS Service for OPC UA.

The error relates to installing the "AVEVA Operations Control Logger" prerequisite, which is located in the "Redistributables\CD-OCLoggerStandalone" folder.

The error indicates that the command line arguments to "Setup.exe" are invalid. The arguments should be "/silentnoreboot [%WORKING_DIR%]\Redistributables\CD-OCLoggerStandalone\SampleResponseFiles\All.txt" where [%WORKING_DIR%] is the folder you're installing from.

The installer generates a log file "%TEMP%\ClearSCADA Setup.log" which should show the arguments that were used.

When you ran the installer did you mount the ISO image and run the installer or did you extract the ISO image to a folder and run the installer? If the later, does the folder include a space in its name?

A workaround for this issue is to first manually install the OperationsControlLogger. In the ISO image find the folder "ClearSCADA\Redistributables\CD-OCLoggerStandalone\" and run the "Setup.exe" program. Then install Geo SCADA. We would like the answer to Andrew's question if possible.

Hmm, I wondered why I always had this error. I always extract from the ISO and run from the folder on C:/D:.

Will double check if my folders have a space in... probably do.

That was the issue - spaces in the path to the installation files. Dev team informed.
