Hi,
Since a few months we got a lot of connection error between site and scada (we change from Clearscad to Geoscada).
We now have Geoscada and communicate with DNP3 trough a VPN connection provide by a router to a M340 with a BMX NOR 0200.
All our site are similar.
But on all site we got each day many loss of data between few seconds to hours.
The connection is assure by a router with a VPN and this one doesn't indicate any loss of internet acces.
Even during test, we are connect to the plc with the router and VPN but we lost DNP3 connection (port 2000) but not the plc connection (port 502).
I try to check and understand as many of parameters as I can but now I don't know where the problem is, like my Reestablishment Interval is about 300s but it doesn't seem to work.
For example as each time we got a connection error, I just have to delete the @IP or the Outstation adress save, reput what I've delete and save and the connection fall healthy.
Have you got any idea on that ?

To investigate an issue like this will need access to the Geo SCADA DNP3 driver logs, event journal messages and possibly a copy of your configuration (channel, set and outstation). The "I/O" logging option will need to be enabled on the DNP3 driver, see Define the Driver Logging Settings. A comms log for the channel would also be helpful, see Enable or Disable 'Normal' Communications Logging on a Channel.
If you pass this information to SE support they will be able to analyse the log files and provide advice.
Its not clear from the issue description whether this is a network problem (e.g. TCP connection is failing), or a problem communicating with the DNP3 outstation (e.g. timeout, no reply, incorrect reply).
Making a 'significant' configuration change to the outstation will cause the driver to delete and recreate the outstation within the driver. This will create a new TCP connection (assuming your using TCP and not UDP) and perform the DNP3 start-up sequence which varies depending on how the outstation is configured.
