What is the difference between vouchers and licenses?

When you order Schneider Electric software products, you will receive an email with codes for digital vouchers. These vouchers represent the products and quantities you have ordered, but they do not create a license yet. The voucher codes do not activate the software.

First, redeem the vouchers in your Digital Locker within the Software Companion. You can store them there until you are ready to create, amend, or renew a license. 

When you are ready to use the vouchers, the Software Companion will check if they match your configuration's type and quantity. If they do, it will generate an Activation ID for the software, consuming the vouchers from your Digital Locker. 

If the vouchers do not match your configuration, you will need to either: 

• Purchase additional vouchers to cover the missing type/quantity, or 

• Adjust your configuration to fit the available vouchers. 

For subscription-based software, activating the license will start your subscription period, typically for 1 or 3 years, depending on your order.
