Offline activation/renew of EAE license method

Activating EAE license is done through online methods by connecting the EAE installed station to the license server through available internet only. Is there any other offline method available for activation/renew license.

Re: Offline activation/renew of EAE license method

You can use the "By web portal activation mode" of the Schneider Electric License Manager.
If your PC is not connected to the internet, the screen below will show when you click on activate.

Clicking in the option "User another activation method", allows you to use another PC with internet
access to connect to the Software Licensing Web Portal, where you receive a XML response file.

P.S.: Additional informaiton is available in the help of Schneider Electric License Manager
in this path: Schneider Electric License Manager -> Activation Method -> Activation by Web Portal.

Re: Offline activation/renew of EAE license method

Hi,

Yes, this is possible. You can get a License Respons File for the offline machine by clicking "use another activation method" and then upload the License Request file by going to the Schneider Licensing website. (https://www.se.com/licensing)

The helpfile of EAE has clear intructions what the process is in chapter "Getting, Activating and Registering a License".

Good luck!

edit: Oh.. 11 minutes too late.

Re: Offline activation/renew of EAE license method

Hello Anand,

the Schneider Electric License Manager is automatically doing the license requests online when the machine is connected because this is the easiest and fastest way to activate your license. If the machine is not connected it offers also offline methods.

Re: Offline activation/renew of EAE license method

If your PC is connected but you prefer to use offline activation method, you can use Options->Settings to force offline methods.ForceOffline.jpg

Don't forget to clear the checkbox for future online requests.
