Hi,
I have a BMX P342020 PLC programmed with Unity Pro XL V12.0
I want to associate an address to a real variable. When I do this, I get the error: "The instance is located on an address that isn't configured. : TestReal". I found on CPU configuration that %MF is desabled for CPU objects, but can be selected for I/O. The problem is that if I select all and close CPU configuration window, the settings are not saved. How could I solve the error?

Hi Jhonut,
This Community is meant for EcoStruxure Automation Expert. I encourage you to drop your future queries in Industrial Automation Community if related to IDPAC product line.
Reply for your query:
For Modicon M340 PLCs, double-type instances of located data (%MD<i>
, %KD<i>
) or floating (%MF<i>
, %KF<i>
) are not available.
Use %MW address instead for Real data type.
Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for replying! I can assign a %MW to a variable of type REAL and I get rid of the error. But my question is how could I associate a float value to %MW address?
I read two registers and convert them to real. If I associate %MW to a real, the value I get is not correct. Please see the attached photos!

Can you check by swapping Low and High word register addresses? If still facing issue, then raise a support ticket to customer care for detailed analysis.
