Hello, I am using EAX version 22 and I am trying to connect my softDPAC to an OPC UA Server. I tried using the Standard.OPCUAClient.OPCUA_CONNECT Function Block. While trying to compile the Applikation, I get the following error:
OPCUA Client Configuration Generation: The value entered for FB6.Password is not a valid password.
Does anyone know how to solve this? I am still searching for the place to enter the password or change the setting to anonymous.
I would be thankful for any help.
Peter

Hello,
you should first check that OPCUA Client support is activated in your application. Select you application in the solution explorer then contextual menu & Options\IEC61499. (Image1)
On the settings tab check the Enable OPCUA Client configuration check box (Image2)
After building your application again a new vertical tab in the System tab must be available named OPC UA Client.
All the OPC UA Client FB instances are displayed here and you should see you FB6 with User Name and Password parameters. (Image3)
Hope it helps
You must also configure security parameters to match your OPC UA Server.

Thank you for your fast answer.
I was able to get the status "connected". AFter restarting the EAX I saw the OPC UA Client in the System tab aswell.
Now I am trying to use the OPC UA READ FB and get a strange error during compilation I do not understand. I'll attach my OPC Connect Block and my OPC READ block.
Again, I will appreciate any hints on this.
Peter

Hello,
You have to specify the datatype of the configured OPC-UA node you want to read.
- Select the OPCUA_READ function block (FB7)
- Right click, select 'Interface Editor ...'
- Configure data type of OPC-UA Variable to read
