Cause
Zoning functionality is being used within a Custom Type, which causes the zoning configuration to revert to its original state. This occurs because Custom Types are designed to enforce consistency across instances, and any runtime changes to zoning are overridden by the base definition of the Custom Type.
Resolution
To prevent zoning from reverting:
-
Avoid using zoning within Custom Types.
Zoning should be configured directly on individual RP-C controller instances rather than within a Custom Type. -
Recommended Practice:
- Create zoning configurations on the RP-C controller outside of any Custom Type.
- If a Custom Type is necessary for other aspects of the configuration, exclude zoning from the type definition and apply zoning manually to each instance.
