What's the difference in enabling / disabling the receive-heartbeat for a nvi programmed in any of the MNL controllers?
Environment
MNL controllers (all models and revisions)
Cause
Preventing a nvi from dropping to its fallback value.
Resolution
With the receive-heartbeat enabled, the nvi can be set to fallback to a local sensor or value when communications fails. With the receive-heartbeat disabled, the nvi will hold its last value until the controller either is reset or a new value is received at the nvi. Being a nvi, the value is volatile (held in RAM).
