Issue

What is the replacement hardware for the 7900 Series security devices, DPU 7910, DPU 7920, DIO 7940 and DIU 7930.

Environment

Series 7900 DPUs. DPU 7910, DPU7920, DIU 7930 and DIO 7940.  

I/NET Seven.

Cause

Series 7900 door controller units are no longer available.  Replacement Hardware is the SCU 1200 Series.

Resolution

 Below is a table showing the comparison and replacement hardware for the 7900 Series controllers.

Notes: 
  1. To use the full input capacity of the SCU series, (12 DI), you must use the device in a double-address mode. When typically using them as a replacement for 7900 series the existing addressing usually restricts the use to single address mode. Refer to TCON312 for further information.
  2. Also be aware of I/NET system Compatibility, download TCON312 (Overview section) for further detail. 

Regardless of which version of TAC I/NET software you use, you must load SLIs with updated software in order to properly communicate with the SCU.
