Issue

StruxureWare Building Operation Workstation Logon fails when logging onto Localhost:80.

Environment

• Windows 7
• Windows 2008 Server
• Windows 2008 Server R2

Cause

The line in the system Host file that defines the Localhost is commented out with a hash or pound sign (#).

#127.0.0.1    Localhost

Resolution

1. Open Notepad. Right-click and select the option to "Open as an Administrator."
2. Go to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc and open host.
3. Remove the # in front of 127.0.0.1 Localhost
4. Save the file.
