Cause
Modifications to modem settings must be performed in the registry editor.
Resolution
- Open the Registry Editor (Start > Run > regedit)
- Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Modem\xxxx\Settings
