Cause
Third party Modbus device has an address range between 248 and 255.
Resolution
For Modbus master/slave RS485 networks, the third party device must be in the range of 1 to 247, this is the Modbus RTU standard. This would apply not only to EBO but to other Modbus master/slave networks.

If the third party Modbus slave device cannot be changed to an address to within this range, then contact with the product vendor may be required.
