Cause
MAC ID for an Automation Server calculation
Resolution
A Mac address ID of an IP level Automation Server is made up a 48 bits. The first 3 bytes are unique to each vendors organization and has a unique IEEE 3 octet identifier. The last 3 bytes are created by the individual companies and EBO's last 3 bytes are automatically pulled down from a database to a buffer in the product level test equipment where one is assigned for each tested AS, printed at the side sticker and logged in the Trace test report.
