Issue
Station sending SMTP server its LAN IP address instead of WAN IP address causing the SMTP server to block the connection.
Environment
I/A Series G3 (Niagara)
Cause
SMTP server is blocking the connection due to the LAN IP address being used.
Resolution
A new system property is available that can be used to define how the station identifies itself to remote SMTP servers. This can be done by setting the mail.smtp.localhost property in the system.properties to the station's external facing IP address or FQDN.
Example: mail.smtp.localhost=12.34.56.78
