Issue
If the pull-up resistor is disabled falsely, the sensor value or status that connects with this input may be wrong. For example, sensing temperature value has a great deal of error with the actual temperature value.
Environment
I2 controllers
B3 controllers
Cause
If the pull-up resistor selection is wrong, the right value can not be gotten.
Resolution
The following is a schematic representation of the switch and its associated pull-up:
- To measure temperature, the pull-up resistor switch associated with this input must be enabled.
- To measure voltage, the pull-up resistor switch associated with this input is usually disabled (OFF).
- To sense contact closures (Digital signals), the pull-up resistor switch associated with this input must be enabled.
- To count Pulsing signals or contact closures, the pull-up resistor switch associated with this input must be enabled.
