Cause
Legacy controllers or existing devices supporting only Half-Duplex are incompatible with AS-P/AS-B controllers, which support Full Duplex 10/100BASE-TX communications.
Resolution
To address this issue, follow these steps:
- Install a managed switch: Introduce a managed switch between the devices to enable effective communication.
- Configure port settings: Utilize the features of the managed switch to configure each port according to the required duplex mode, either Half-Duplex or Full-Duplex.
By implementing a managed switch, you can ensure compatibility between Half Duplex and Full Duplex devices, resolving communication problems and facilitating a smooth migration process.
