Cause
Users need to backup all PCT data to prevent data loss or corruption.
Resolution
Since PCT 2.0 virtual machine resides in Hyper-V., the process is the same as backup any VM in Hyper-V Manager.
- Open Hyper-V Manager: Launch the Hyper-V Manager application on your server.
- Select the VM: Navigate to the virtual machine you want to back up in the left pane.
- Right-click and choose "Export": Right-click on the VM and select "Export" from the context menu.
- Choose a destination: Select the folder where you want to save the exported VM files.
- Start the export process: Click "Export" to begin the backup process.
- The "Export" process will create a "pct" folder from the folder in step 4.
- The 3 folders under "pct" folder are the backup for PCT 2.0 with projects and server packages installed.
