Does Configuration Server for an i.Lon 1000 have to be running all of the time?
Environment
i.LON 1000
Cause
The Config Server provides the path for communication to the iLon when used as an RNI.
Resolution
If using the i.Lon 1000 as an RNI to communicate with the LonWorks network, then the Config Server must be open.
If the i.Lon 1000 is being used as a router (not RNI), it is not necessary to have Config Server running unless you are in the configuration process for the router.
