Issue
Getting error message in Vista that Menta is in 'stand alone' mode and cannot edit the .MTA
Environment
- Vista
- Menta
Cause
This happens usually when Menta has previously been installed on the system in a "stand alone" fashion and then Vista was installed at a later time.
Resolution
- Go to Start > Run and type "regedit" to open the Registry Editor
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > TAC > TAC Menta
- Double click the key named StandAlone.
-
Change the value data to "No"
For a 64 bit OS, the path in the Registry Editor is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Wow6432Node>TAC Menta
