Can WorkPlace Tech operate on a pc with a local Windows account not assigned administrative privileges?
Environment
WorkPlace Tech 5.8
Cause
A customer wants to assign non-administrative Windows accounts to the maintenance staff.
Resolution
A local Windows account with Power User rights has worked with the basic commands in WorkPlace Tech (i.e. upload, download, save, edit, and compile). Extensive testing has not been done.
Schneider-Electric continues to recommend local Windows accounts with administrative privileges.
