"SetProcessAffinityMask error NB: 57" Issue in EcoStruxure Control Expert V16.1 IR14D
Hello everyone,
I am facing an issue with EcoStruxure Control Expert V16.1 IR14D after installation on a Hyper-V VM. The VM is configured with a single vCPU allocated, and dynamic RAM is enabled. When trying to connect to the simulator, I get the following error message: "SetProcessAffinityMask error NB: 57".
I have noticed that if I allocate two vCPUs to the VM, the issue disappears. However, when I allocate only one vCPU, the error appears. This behavior did not occur in previous versions of EcoStruxure Control Expert, and I am wondering if this is expected behavior in version V16.1 IR14D, or if there is an underlying issue related to processor affinity or resource allocation.
In the documentation, there is no mention of a minimum number of vCPUs required for running EcoStruxure Control Expert within a VM, which is why I’m reaching out here to see if anyone else has encountered this issue or can explain why it only happens when a single vCPU is allocated.
