I have got a small system SCHNEIDER it has 12 solar panel and sw schneider invertir and an OUTBACK  MPPT 80 AMP. The thing it that our electric provider is increasing our energy cost. I wanted to know, I don't have a contexto GATEWAY, and I wanted to know what is it use in order to try to get the most of my solar equipment? Also want different modes canbe used in my SCHNEIDER INVERTER in order to save energy using more solar energy?

The Conext Gateway is part of the family of the Edge control devices from Schneider Electric, and, as such, it provide different functionalities to your system:

• It provides you a local user interface were you can see what is happening there and that also allows you to setup your Schneider Electric devices. But this is something you can already do with Conext SCP.
• it provides you locally with datalogs that can be downloaded in different formats so you can do analysis of your energy resources and energy usage in order to find weak points and make it more efficient.
• It provides you a means to update the firmware of your Schneider Electric devices, so you can easily upgrade each device to its latest firmware version and due to this, apply corrections and apply improvements in your system.
• It provides you an eventlog with self-explanatory description of the event and the main root causes of such events, so you have there a 1st level of troubleshoot when something is not working as it should.
• It's connected to our InsightCloud (if allowed by end user), so you can remotely access (through website or InsightMobile App) to your information and, going a bit further, you can do more analysis like energy resource comparison, device performance comparison or site level comparison (if you have more than one site assigned), amongst other really interesting capabilities... like remote control/setup of your Schneider Electric devices (like your Conext SW inverter), all this in a 100% cybersecure environment.

In your case you can see how battery is charged and discharged, how loads are working (so you can optimize your consumption periods and save energy). You can setup your Conext SW inverter to take more advantage of the solar generation through it's Grid Support functionality based on battery voltages, apply latest firmware, etc...

So definitely, the Conext Gateway and the Insight Control Edge devices really provide an added value, as they provide you a way to analyze (locally or remotely) how's your energy generation and usage and a way to setup your system to improve it.
