The test button on a QO-GFI or HOM-GFI breaker will not trip the breaker; is the breaker bad?
The two pole homeline 40 amp breaker will not trip after pressing the test button when the load wires are connected. When the load wires are disconnected, it will trip when the test button is pressed. This shows the breaker is good, but why will it not test while the load is connected ? The load is a 40 amp cooktop with no neutral
