Not sure where to post question regarding my questions on Communications between a ControlLogix processor (L81e) and SE TeSys LTME/HMI via Ethernet/IP.
specifically i need to access
- status word (remote, run, fault....etc)
- Running speed
- Average current
- How to start/stop via comm
- How to set speed via comm (if possible)
I have read the manual and most of the information is there but it seems like I have to read/write several MSG instructions to get/set the information that I need?
I am also not sure where to post this type of question in these forums.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hello @Anonymous user ,
Our technical support team for the LTMR can actually help with this as it really depends on what you are looking for. I will try to address most of this.
Details for Rockwell integration and the LTMR motor management controller can be found here in our EIP quickstart guide . We do have a new EDS file (version 1.5) that makes selecting which control option and instances a bit easier but not an updated quickstart guide so please keep that in mind. Your instance selection will determine which registers are your inputs and outputs and consist of most of the basic details you would need. You can also access direct registers if not.
The LTMR (and LTME combination) however does not monitor or control speed.
The complete Ethernet communication guide for LTMR will have the full list of Instances as well as the full register map and can be found here: DOCA0129EN-03. Input instance 116 and output instance 106 provide a majority of the status bits and control bits.
Please let me know if there are additional questions.
