ATV61 Ground Short Circuit Fault (SCF3)
We have many textile machines with ATV61 series drive, in which we drive multiple small motors in parallel. Once or twice in a season random drives stops and gives an SFC3 fault. There seems to be no problem after we check the feeder cables and motors. We also control the drives IGBT as described in the community. After we re-energize the drive it runs without any problem.
Leakage current due to multiple motor parallel operation seems to be main reason.
What are the possible remedies?
1) Can we increase the level of the leakage current more than 25%?
2) Can EMI/EMC filter reduce the Common-mode current, thus reduce leakage current?
3) Can type B RCD help selectivity when we install them for each motor @ drive output?
