Next big thing in SCADA?

I'm looking for the next big thing in SCADA... I've been using Ignition since it was FactorySQL and it was clear to me that it was the next big thing back then. I'm now well and truly in that ecosystem so am not seeing what others are doing or what newcomers are around.

I think Inductive Automation have lost the way now with Perspective being overly complicated. I cannot just drop a perspective project into a factory and expect the plant people to just get it, like I could with Vision. We are all being pushed away from Vision, but I really think that vision is what made Ignition so easy to deploy and more importantly get buy in from the plant folks.

What is the latest and greatest? Any up and coming stars in the scada scene that I should be investigating?
