Downgrade SCADA from 2018 to 2016

I am working on Schneider M580. I have a project that was made in CITECT 2018. Customer has CITECT 2016 licence. The customer wants to downgrade the project to CITECT 2016 so he can use his licence. Please provide the best possible solution

The downgrade process is challenging.
He can reuse something but most likely he needs to rebuild everything.
Considering that both Software (2016 and 2018) are not in mainstream support, I will consider to get the update process for the license instead of spending time with the engineering rework.

Hi Jassi,

It is not usually recommended to downgrade AVEVA Plant SCADA Projects to legacy versions. The significant changes for Citect 2016->2018 has mainly been around the new workspace, but the the configuration of some of the databases would have changed also. Therefore, there would be compatibility and downgrade issues.

Antonnio's suggestion would be an easier approach to upgrade the license than to potentially deal with the downgrade issues, which in the end would still leave you with a legacy project.

Please contact your Schneider/AVEVA representative to help with any license pricing enquiries.
