Citect SCADA 2018 R2 Alarm logging issue during runtime.

I have a problem in Citect SCADA 2018 R2. As I start  SCADA runtime in customer PC, alarms are getting logged after 4-5 min. Once any alarm is logged after 4-5 min, it is visible in Active alarm list but the same alarm is not getting logged in summary page. I checked 100 times the summary and alarm configuration but found no issue in configuration as the same backup is working absolutely fine in my laptop in simulation mode with PLC.

So, there are two problems- delay in alarm logging during runtime and summary page is not working as it was supposed to be.

Can anybody please help me?

Hi Pankaj,

How the Active Alarm Pages and Alarm Summary Pages behave will depend on how you have configured your alarm categories and any filtering you may have setup.

Our Global Customer Support Team are happy to help. Please contact our support team to help you troubleshoot in more detail.

Also, we have same eLearning Modules to facilitate any learning.

Hi!

Thanks for your reply @Kien_Mac . I used only one category for alarms and also didn't setup any filter in any of these two pages

BTW, problem has been resolved after formatting and installing new windows OS in customer PC. Now, everything is working fine. But still didn't know the root cause of this kind of problem.

Thanks for the update. Glad you were able to overcome the issue.

One thought is that you need to be logged into the system. There are privilege/viewable constraints when the system is started without any user login.

User login/logout was also tried but it wasn't the problem. After getting windows formatted, the same  SCADA PC was showing alarms and summary with/without user login. Also, we didn't given any specific privilege to any of the users. All users were having privilege level upto 8.

Anyways, that issue will be a mystery I think. Let it go now.
