smart ups smc1500 ups refusing web or ssh acces s

I had a SMC1500 installed in a business and relocated it to a lab on a different network.

I remember that I was able to use powerchute on the server to manage the UPS.

I did see the SC1 display when I scrolled through settings.   

I cannot access https or ssh access at the lab location.  The unit refuses the connection. It did negotiate a dhcp address and responds to ping. 

Question: How do I get the ups to respond to either a ups or local network https request.
